Top Wesselton (new designation: F or G) describes diamonds with the second best coloration, the 'fine white' (+) and is the standard quality among goldsmiths. For the layman, the color cannot be distinguished from the 'very fine white' of the river diamond, which is why this diamond is used in most cases as a gemstone for ear studs, rings or pendants, often with clarity VS.

Up to a size of 0.07 carat, Top Wesselton diamonds are also very popular as tooth jewellery.

What do the purities mean?

The basis is the view through the 10x magnifying glass:

No inclusions are visible at 10x magnification, the stone is flawless (LC) or IF (internally flawless)

If inclusions are (very) difficult to detect, the purity is referred to as VVS = very very small inclusions or VS = very small inclusions

If inclusions are visible at 10x magnification, this is referred to as SI = small inclusions

Noticeable inclusions begin with the designation P1 and end at P3.
